Dad managed to get to a scrap yard and find the crank sensor housing we needed and fitted it the same day! So we finally got her running. It took a bit of fiddling with the wires and the ECU settings. We're still not 100% sure how we actually got it going but it is lol.
We figured out why we didn't have a spark after wiring up the ECU and it was a nightmare! The engine had to come out and the gearbox had to be split then clutch and flywheel had to be removed to get at this stupid housing piece. The engine is from an automatic and we didnt realise there was any difference from the manual. This piece (in the pic) is different from the manual version. Which means the crank sensor is in a different place so, as we have now put a manual flywheel on it the trigger part was in the wrong place and the sensor was not picking anything up. This site (Link) shows the difference between the two pieces.
I thought I had just ordered a box of wires when this turned up lol. Bought it from this place Trigger-Wheels really good service received it next day.
Dads done a nice neat job of mounting the various bits and bobs which will be hidden once the dash is on later.
Got it all wired in correct as far as we are aware but were not getting any spark from the EDIS module so we need to test it again and look at the wiring again properly.
