Bodywork

Had the side panels and rear arches made so we can get on with putting it all on now. The rear was straight forward enough. It did'nt fit perfect because of our bends on the rear tub but its on now looks good and is solid so its fine. We are battling with the side panels at the moment because i think they're designed to go on without the floor been on first so having to bodge it slightly and stretch them over the floor as well.
(More Pics coming soon)

Bulkhead

We got this bit powdered a while ago but didn't want to fit it until we had the side panels but then thinking about it we are best off having the side panels sitting on top of this part as the bonnet will sit nicer later on. We made a bracket for the header tank to fasten to and put some rubber underneath so it didn't rattle or mark the panel. All nice and solid now also look very shiny :)

Trial fitted the rear panel from AGM looks ace! We had to move the tank back slightly as it was stopping the panel going on. Cant wait to get it properly fitted. Bought a fuel filler cap and neck too so that's ready to go once the rear is done.

Dash Finished Off

Decided the dash would look a bit plain with just the speedo so got a few nice dials as well which look really bright and clear and much better than I could photograph. We got a volt meter, a water temp and an oil pressure gauge. Then I got hold of some vinyl wrap to cover the dash which was fun to do and made a nice job of it too. We're going to use some edge trim on the top just to finish it off a bit nicer and hopefully seal it from any rain if we get caught out. This meant we had to trim down the dash a bit otherwise the trim would sit over the scuttle panel too much.

Slowly getting the interior sorted too going to have to open the centre panel up a bit to move it down and hide the gaps a bit better.

New Tyres

Once again found a bargain on eBay got 4 Toyo Proxes for £138 delivered. They look great and should do the job nicely. Sprayed the centre caps but the paint is a bit naff so will need to do them again they look good on though :)

The wheels look a bit mucky because of the soap used when we put them on.

Also got some nice new bolts. So had to get the wheels on to see what it looks like :)

Fuel Tank

Finished off the tank and got a friend to weld it up for us. Bought a sender unit from eBay.... where else :) £30. We got really lucky as the sender unit was a bit too long for the tank but because of the bottom sump bit we put on we managed to fit it in. To screw the sender on we used rivnuts and drilled the holes a bit bigger but only just so the rivnuts would sit flush on the top of the tank and the rubber of the sender would seal up nicely. We filled it with fuel slightly to wash the crud out and to make sure it flowed ok and it worked perfectly. We strapped it on using a strip of jubilee clip style stuff and put some rubber strip underneath to keep it off the chassis. Then connected the pipes going to the pump and the return from the engine.
