Exciting Times!

Picked up the powder coated bits and bobs they look ace! Had a play and put the bushes in the wishbones, we put the rubber bits in first then used a vice to press the metal center crush tubes in.

Bought the ball joints etc from eBay £60 for the lot so not too bad. Had a trial fit of everything and all looks good just need to shorten the extensions for the steering as they're a bit too long.

Chassis Rear Complete & Starter Fitted

Finally got round to making the rear end tubes. It was a bit of a pain bending the tubes in the right place but got there in the end. Chassis is almost complete just a few more brackets for seats, radiator...etc then its off to the powder coaters.

Nice and level.

Fitted the starter after hacking a big lump off the engine as the gearbox wanted the starter at the opposite side to what the engine did.

All checked and working perfect!

Also made some horn brackets at the front.

And got hold of these from an R6 will need to make an inlet manifold.

Prop Shaft

Prop shaft cut to length and welded up. Going to paint it later rather than get it powdered to protect the joints.

Gearbox mounts, the original big rubber mount was knackered so this is what we've done.

Also noticed we had put the diff mounting plates on the wrong edge of the tube luckily before we had cut and welded the prop! So we cut and welded it in the correct place.
